The Hangover Part II (2011)

It follows exactly the same storyline and principles as the first film, the characters seemed to have developed into caricatures of their original selves; however this one is set in a different country.

Many of the jokes were the same too. Everything about this film felt lazy, they either rested on jokes from the first film or classically funny ideas, such as using a monkey. Even the ending is rushed, the mystery is solved and there was a dramatic, happy ending.

It’s a shame that the greed for more money meant that this film was made, it tarnishes the original slightly. Admittedly my distaste is probably fuelled by my personal taste in comedy (I prefer British, subtle humour). If you are in the right mood, and watch it with people, that probably improves the film.
